Man is born totally depraved. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Ephesians 2:1-2 discussing the free choice of the gift of God, that being the saving of our lost souls. At salvation, we are brought from a status of death, a separation from God, to a status of life because of our faith in Christ’s finished work on the Cross. The panel explains the five points of Calvinism, and its wrong teaching of being elected by God, saying that the atonement is limited to who God says will be saved. The atonement of Christ is for all; for whosoever will, come and take of the water of life freely. (Revelation 22:17)
