Today on The Message of the Cross, Pastor Paris Ragan and panel read Romans 9:14-18 discussing God’s mercy and compassion. These, cannot be earned with God, He gives them freely when we call on Him at salvation. God only works on the basis of faith, never of works. The panel discusses God’s “chosen”. The Apostle Paul taught the early church, who God’s elected are; not just Israel as a nation, or the Jewish people, but Gentiles as well, those who choose Christ are His chosen. He is the true Jacob. God’s grace covenant preceded the law. All believers are called to come to Him by faith in Christ and that alone.
