Everything in the New Covenant works by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss how works will lead to death, but faith in Christ Jesus will lead to abundant life. The panel discusses the gnostic teaching of the Hebraic Roots Movement. These movements draw people who get swayed by the false teachings. The teachings have some biblical base, but then with that bit of truth, they add Talmudic teachings to explain the Bible. Nothing exceeds the Word of God. It has everything that we need for life and living. The law had a proper purpose, to point us to Christ, who fulfilled the law in totality. We are to become dead to the law by the body of Christ; our union with Christ frees us from authority and responsibility to the law, death changes relationship.
