Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, discussing how a born again believer should hate sin in their lives. When we love the Lord, we do not want sin in our lives, and sin should be a struggle within, that we want gone. This is Holy Spirit conviction; the Apostle Paul here is showing what an unrighteous lifestyle looks like. The Holy Spirit will reveal sin in the believer’s life. God always makes a way; reading 1 John 1:7 tells us to walk in the light of the gospel, trusting God has cleansed us through the blood of Jesus Christ, and this is an ongoing, neverending cleansing because of our faith. This is justification. If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive.
