Today on A Study In The Word Brother Swaggart and the panel explain the difference between justifying peace and sanctifying peace. Anyone who doesn’t know God, Brother Swaggart says they will have an animosity between themselves and God. God feels this more than the unsaved; often times, a person has guilt over this, which can cause anger towards God. When a person gives their heart to the Lord, that animosity is replaced with peace, a justifying peace. In John 14:27, Jesus talks of sanctifying peace. The panel discusses how a believer must understand the Finished Work of Christ to have this sanctifying peace on an ongoing basis. For many Christians, this peace is not present but instead, so many believers have worry, fear, anxiety or depression consuming their lives.
