Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 8:1-3 as they continue to study the meaning of walking after the Spirit verses walking after the flesh. To walk after the flesh would be to model your life after fleshly pursuits, fleshly insights, and just the same, for after the Spirit you are walking in light of the Spirit’s help, where the Spirit leads. To walk after the Spirit is to place your faith and confidence totally and completely in Christ and what Christ did for us at the Cross, and to maintain it exclusively in Christ and what He did for us at the Cross. This exclusive faith is to replace seeking our own efforts to live a victorious Christian walk.
