Brother Larson references the two separate works of the Holy Spirit explaining how the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a second subsequent work that occurs following salvation, and comes primarily for service. When we are saved, the Holy Spirit comes in and gives us all that we need for life and living a victorious Christian life. Faith anchored in the finished work of Christ is the only way to victory over sin and is what keeps the sin nature dormant in the life of the believer.
