Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions? Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss Daniel 6:18-19; and the actions of king Darius who spent a sleepless night, fasting after his decision to put Daniel into a den of lions. As the night descends, the king realizes what a foolhardy thing he has allowed himself to be led into by throwing Daniel to the lions which will greatly hurt the kingdom. Brother Swaggart says the king’s praying and fasting portrays graphically his regard and love for Daniel. He realized Daniel was worth his entire army or more. In the morning, the king discovers an angel has been sent to spare Daniel’s life. Scripture says, then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den.
