Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart read Romans 6:12-14, discussing how the Apostle Paul tells us to put into practice the knowledge of what Christ did for us at Calvary. If we understand that properly, then we will be presenting ourselves to the government of grace, and reaping the benefits, which is our responsibility. We’re not under law, we’re under grace, and being under grace means we are following the spiritual laws of the New Covenant, and we place our faith in Christ and what He has done. This is where the sin nature within is silenced and the renewing process of the Holy Spirit begins to conform us into the image of Christ. Brother Swaggart encourages us to remember, God’s grace is ladled out to believers not for us to keep on failing, but to walk in victory over sin, the flesh, and the devil.
