Sin is a disobedience to the Word of God. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and the panel discuss Romans 1:18, for the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness. God cannot tolerate sin in any capacity. He paid a price, unparalleled with the giving of His Son to die on the Cross of Calvary, to pay a ransom owed to God that man could not pay. Satan had nothing to do with the crucifixion. Christ’s death on Calvary made it possible for sin to be atoned. The blood of bulls and goats could not take away sin; it was left up to Christ to take away sin. The wrath of God, for our punishment, fell on Jesus Christ. Those who don’t receive that, by faith, ultimately will be judged according to God’s punishment, which is separation from God eternally. We see this wrath in the Book of Revelation, confirming God will judge sin with punishment.
