Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the First Covenant that Israel forfeited time and time again; regrettably and sadly, the modern church is doing the same, trying to live for God under law. These are those who love the Lord, but are trying to please Him with their willpower. Paul said, to will is present, but how to do it, I know not. The same sin, that Israel committed, in the First Covenant, Brother Swaggart says we are committing in the Second Covenant. We must see that our faith in Christ is the centerpiece of our relationship with God, it’s everything. We have to recognize what Christ has done for us, how He did it, and place our faith in that, and that alone.
