Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the term progressive sanctification. The panel reads what it means in to take up our Cross daily, Luke 9:23-24. Brother Smith says that means we daily take up the benefits that we’ve already received at salvation. We received full sanctification at the Cross, every sin present and future, and the power of it was dealt with at Calvary. Now, we walk in those benefits throughout our entire life, and this is when we see continued growth in that which we have already received. We are transformed daily, which is sanctification. There is a sanctification event at Calvary, where Christ defeated all.
