Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss indwelling sin, our sin nature. When we give our lives to Christ at salvation, the sin nature should not have dominion over our lives. Reading in Romans 6:3-11, the Apostle Paul tells us how the sin nature is defeated in the life of a believer. Our old man was dominated by the sin nature, but as a new creation in Christ the sin nature remains dormant in our lives. Brother Swaggart says be sure, the sin nature doesn’t go away; it remains in a believer, and can rise again if we do not keep our faith anchored in the finished work of Christ at Calvary. This is the only way the believer can walk a victorious Christian life.
