All believers have a measure of sanctification at salvation. We are washed, sanctified, justified, and waiting to be glorified. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel welcome special guest, Pastor Mike Mounce from At The Cross Family Worship Center in Cuba Missouri. All Christians are given the righteousness of Christ, at salvation; it is imputed to our account. The Apostle Paul is teaching here in the Book of Romans how the believer is set apart; we are not our own, we are bought with a price. Now that we are cleansed, the Holy Spirit will work out our progressive sanctification while we walk this earth. It’s not our self-efforts that get us right with God, we are already right with God because we have His imputed righteousness when we accepted Him as our Savior. Brother Swaggart explains how we correctly grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord. We can’t earn what Christ has already given us. It is a finished work that was accomplished on the Cross, when we anchor our faith in that alone, He will lead us to walk a victorious Christian life.
