Spiritual adultery is prevalent in churches today. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss oppression and depression. Brother Swaggart reminds us how Jesus walked this earth, going about healing all who were sick and oppressed of the devil. Oppression comes from Satan himself, and oppression likely brings on depression. Brother Swaggart says depression can lead to insanity; it ties together. Depression is like a blackness that descends on a person and in this state they can find no hope. Many believers and church leaders are looking for answers for this problem outside of the Cross; this is spiritual adultery. Unfortunately, the majority of Pentecostal Seminaries are producing more graduates today with masters and doctorates in counseling and psychology over theology.
