GODLY CHARACTER REQUIRES THAT YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR UNION WITH CHRIST- Tonight, at Crossfire, Youth Pastor Paris Ragan reads Romans 5:20-21 and Romans 6:1-5 teaching on how we can truly live for God. This can only happen when we are saved, and we die with Christ, and then rise with Him. This is a union of all unions. This is living a resurrected life. This grace is only accessible by faith in Christ and His finished work. There is no partial faith in Christ, faith in any other thing will not transform us into the image of Christ. Pastor Paris is clear; Christian disciplines are expected in the life of a believer, but we cannot trust in self, or any Christian disciplines to free us from sin. This is not God’s way. His way is by faith in Christ’s finished work, and that alone. Disciplines are only avenues to have relationship with our Lord and Savior so we can learn of Him and know Him more.
