He wanted the water without the well. He wanted to be a tree with no roots. He wanted a shout with no song. Tonight at Crossfire, Brother Gabe welcomes Pastor Jason Collins, visiting from Lakeside Church in Denver, North Carolina. Brother Collins preaches on the prodigal generation from Luke 15:11-32. He reminds us of the story of the younger son who asks the father for his portion of goods, and goes off to waste his substance. After much despair, the son comes back to his father to ask for forgiveness. There are many, in church today, that want the shout, dance and experience of assembling together in church, but don’t want the encounter that will change their life. Once you go out from the house, covered by the blood, you will waste away what the Father has given you. We need to preach the gospel of Jesus of Christ. Pastor Collins says, we’ve lost five generations, as the number of believers has dwindled over the years. He says the generations have failed to past down the Word of God.
