BUT WHO ARE YOU?- Tonight at Crossfire, Pastor Jason Collins reads from Acts 19:13-15, preaching on what it is to be a follower of Jesus Christ. Are we followers of Christ to be the captain of the debate team, or do we really want to win and to disciple other believers? Paul was in Ephesus. He wasn’t there just hanging out. He didn’t go to see what was going on. Paul knew eternity was at stake. He was on a mission called by God to preach the glorious Gospel. In verses 1 through 7, Paul asked if they had received the Holy Spirit since they’d believed. They said we haven’t heard, so Paul explained it. He didn’t say you just need it; he explained it. Paul withheld nothing that was profitable to them. He taught, he preached, both publicly and privately. Sometimes when sharing the gospel, we have to become vulnerable with people and make ourselves available to people. People are perishing in their sin and bondages. They want to know the Jesus you know, but if we never show them Jesus, and never teach them who He is, and never show them the way, how will they come to know Him and accept Him as their personal Savior?
