LET IT RAIN- I will pour My Spirit upon your seed. Tonight at Crossfire, Pastor Shaun Murphy reads Isaiah 44:1-4, asking who is thirsty? Ancient Israel plowed the ground; put in seed, and cried out to God, Lord we need rain. When the rain stops the food stops, when the food stops, livestock stops living, livelihood stops, and eventually you stop. Barren land, in that time, was not just an inconvenience like it is today. Barren land was a death sentence. Pastor Shaun asks how long are we going to continue to live spiritually dry, without recognizing barren land is a death sentence; continuing on like everything’s fine, still going to the world for this, going to the world for that, as if it can satisfy. We need rain. This is the time that God can prove Himself by pouring out on us, springing up life in a dead world; we can be a witness in this barren land. God is telling His people whom He has chosen, redeemed, and saved, He will pour His Holy Spirit on us, over and over, if only we will come thirsty. Are you tired of barrenness? Are you thirsty?
