LEARN TO BE CONTENT— Tonight at Crossfire, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart preaches from Philippians 4:11-13. The Apostle Paul encourages us to be full and hungry; learning how to abound, but at the same time learning how to be in need. Paul’s major focus, was not in earthly, temporal things, but the center of Paul’s life was wrapped up in the person of Jesus Christ. Paul was ministering the gospel in prison; a place where there was no light, and his hands and feet were in stocks, a horrific environment. Epaphroditus came from the church of Philippi, a church that he founded. It was the very place that Paul would bring the Gospel message for the first time to European soil. The whole world was then changed because of this one man, taking the Gospel to Europe. This church was built out of his preaching. It supported, and loved Paul. They were poor, and yet they took up a great offering. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
