We preach Christ, and Him crucified. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel read Colossians 1:28, discussing how preaching proclaims truth, and teaching then takes the subject right to the heart. The panel discusses sin and how the believer must not go against the Word of God. There are a few exceptions in God’s Word, when evil is being addressed; for example, when Rahab lied, it was part of the plan of God, and He protected her for a greater purpose. Discussing justification, we are new in Christ; His righteousness is imputed in us at salvation. We are now found innocent of all charges because of our repentance of sin. The believer stays permanently righteous under one condition; that is, we remain in relationship with the Lord, and don’t walk away from our salvation. This is conditional eternal security. Scripture tells us, we must abide in the vine. (John 15:4)
