Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss acts of sin and the sin nature. When we give our hearts to Jesus Christ, we become dead to the sin nature because our faith is placed in Christ alone. At the Cross, He paid our penalty for sin, and now the power of the Holy Spirit works on our behalf to rid us of ungodly thoughts and actions. Our faith must remain anchored in Christ so the sin nature will remain dormant. We must not take up self-efforts through willpower to acquire victory over temptation, i.e. the clinging vines of the fall, that pop up in our lives. Christ won every battle on our behalf at Calvary.
