It’s not easy to oppose false doctrine, but it must be done. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel read Colossians 2:1, looking at Paul’s concern over leaven coming into the early church and his prayer life while in prison. Brother Donnie says sometimes we don’t know what or how to pray, but we can trust that the Holy Spirit will help us when we struggle. Discussing justification, when we ask Jesus to be our Savior, we are not only found not guilty of sin, but we are found righteous, as though we have never sinned. The panel explains how this does not mean we will have sinless perfection in our Christian walk’s this side of heaven; it means we are in Jesus Christ who was perfect, and He is quick to forgive us when we repent of our failures that come in our daily lives.
