In all things, give thanks and glory to God in faith, love and hope. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel read Colossians 1:3-5. The Apostle Paul gave thanks and acknowledged the good that he saw in the church of Colossae, even though Gnosticism and legalism were creeping into the church. Our faith, when anchored in the Cross, will result in gratitude to God as we will learn the agape love of God and our hope will be in Him. The panel discusses capital punishment and serving justice with regards to the law against heinous crimes, and how that stands under the judgment of God. The panel looks back to 1998 when the first woman since 1863 was executed in Texas. At that time, Governor George W. Bush did not halt the execution of Karla Faye Tucker for a double-murder despite her coming to the Lord.
