Be mindful that your faith not be tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine. Today on The Generation of The Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professor David Watts looking at the unity of faith and the warning in Ephesians chapter 4 verses 13-16. Brother Watts says there comes a point where we do have to plant our flag, draw our line, and say that if we’re going to be in fellowship and working together within in the body of Christ, there are things that are non-negotiable. We cannot compromise with certain religions that are not Christian denominations; i.e., Roman Catholicism, Islam, or Mormonism. These are outside the bounds of Orthodox Christianity. Pastor Gabe says that is where we cannot align together; unity of the faith means we have a proper and like knowledge of Christ and the Cross. This alone defines Christian faith. Those in the five-fold ministry will equip the body of Christ, which will lead to the believer’s maturity in Christ.
