Today on The Generation of the Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professor David Watts and Pastor Tanner Kratzer. Reading Ephesians 4:21-24, the panel discusses how the believer lives out their new identity in Christ. The bible is a living thing. It’s not just a static book. It is suppose to change your whole life, change who you are. It starts with your mind. There are atheists who have a PhD in religion. They can tell you everything the scripture says but it hasn’t changed them. Studying theology, studying the word of God should draw us closer to God, not push us away from God. Once a person comes to Christ, we have a responsibility to learn Christ. It is not to learn about Christ, but to learn Christ. Who He is, and what He’s done; it’s an ongoing learning, for a lifetime, for eternity.
