There cannot be proper, biblical, spiritual unity unless there is proper, biblical, spiritual maturity.
Today on The Generation of The Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professor David Watts. In this study of Ephesians, written later in Paul's life while in prison, he encapsulates the doctrine of the gospel, and also encapsulates the application of the gospel. Dealing with doctrine, he explains the change that takes place in a life at salvation; then he explains how we are to utilize what we have been given and how we are to apply what we have received. Paul describes the unity we should find in the body of Christ, and at the same time, the maturing that happens in the believer’s life. The goal of the Christian should ever be one of drawing closer and closer to the Lord Jesus Christ.
