Today on The Generation of the Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart welcomes his special guest, Pastor Joel Stockstill who plants Spirit filled churches all over the world. Pastor Stockstill says his passion is to help young people fight the daily Spiritual battle in front of them with the power of the Holy Spirit. The two discuss how there can be no impact in this fight without the power of the Holy Spirit. In Acts 2:14-18,scripture says this is that; God, through the prophet Joel, says I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your young people will prophesy. They discuss how the early church in Acts was born in power. If the church moves away from the Holy Spirit, it moves away from it’s power source. Jesus told the believers to go wait in Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high. They were told not to do anything until they received the power of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Stockstill says the Gospel has to be proclaimed in the power of the Holy Spirit; he says our young people need it to do the work of the ministry that God calls them to.
