Today on The Generation of The Cross, Crossfire Youth Pastor Paris Ragan is joined by Associate Pastor Shaun Murphy. Looking at the lives of a widow woman named Anna, and Simeon, who represented the highest system of Israel’s social class and Anna the lowest. She was a social outcast, but had dedicated herself to temple service. Both recognized Jesus, and professed Him as the Messiah when He was brought to the Temple at just eight-days-old. Pastor Paris says the Luke/Acts theme that by receiving the Holy Spirit will give forth to the profession of Christ as Jesus said it would be. This is the reason for the infilling of the Spirit. It is not just to speak in tongues; but rather, it is the source behind why ALL who are saved, which are now empowered to go tell the world about Jesus.
