Today on Insight, John and Josh Rosenstern discuss the drug epidemic in the United States, as the Biden Administration is recommending that the Drug Enforcement Administration loosen federal restrictions on marijuana. They want a revision from a schedule one to a schedule three substance, after a review by the FDA. LSD and heroin are schedule one drugs, as schedule three drugs are said to have little chance of addiction. The problem with marijuana is that it does impair behavior, which should not be overlooked, and it is commonly a gateway drug that leads to other drug use or at least the experimentation of other substances and other social groups that may contribute to other dangers.
