Today on Insight, John and Josh Rosenstern discuss a recent bill passed in the state of Wyoming, and signed by the Governor. The new law would prohibit the use of drugs that cause a chemical abortion. This is the first state law that would ban chemical abortions, this following the Supreme Court’s decision last year to drop the federal protection of abortions, giving back that authority to state governments to regulate their own abortion laws. Brother Josh says the penalty for using this drug and or distributing it would result in a six-month prison sentence and a nine thousand dollar fine. This would apply to anyone involved in distributing the drug that results in terminating pregnancy in the earliest stage, as it causes the baby to die in the uterus.
