Today on Insight, John and Josh Rosenstern discuss ESG investing, and those regulations of retirement plans and funds. Congress has voted that it does not agree with the change and direction of overseeing funds of individuals, leaning favor toward companies, and thus, potentially hurting the individual more with increased regulation and greater redistribution. The Employer Retirement Income Security Act that came out in 1974 brought about employer sponsored plans to develop and grow more as we see today in 401k's and other investing options. The governing plans were designed for protection. Brother Josh says today we see pension plans becoming less and less, and the individual worker is left to come up with his or her own retirement plan.
