Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss the reality of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder particularly with those who have served in the military and law enforcement. The panel dives into the discussion of depression, anxiety, and ADHD and whether all are physical problems and/or whether symptoms should be dealt with through medications or not. Brother Jonathan says we are triune beings; we have a body, spirit, and soul. Our soul houses our emotions through heart and mind events. Fear can grow wrongly in a heart and cause problems with our mental health; but, there are also some physical/biological breakdowns with the brain that can cause depression and anxiety and needs to be addressed with medication. Brother Donnie adds, in many cases, far too many let fear rule in their minds, and they do not cast their cares on the Lord. Reading John 9:1-3, we see the healing power of Christ; and ultimately, we believe God can heal all our brokenness whether He does it here on earth or in heaven.
