Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss sin in a believer’s life and what God thinks about it looking at 1st Corinthians 8:11, explaining a weak conscience. Brother Donnie says there is a time when first converted where we are babes in Christ, and the Apostle Paul warns believers to be careful not to cause another brother to stumble into sin. We all have liberty, but should we should not take a license to do something that could cause a weaker believer to sin; not every believer has the same conviction. When we are saved, we are instantaneously complete in Christ in the eyes of God, but then the Holy Spirit goes to work on our behalf walking out many things in our lives in our sanctification. The Bible teaches us that there is a renewing of our minds, and there is a growth that produces fruit in our lives. The Holy Spirit will continually bring our condition up to our position; this can only be done, by faith in the finished work of Christ.
