Today on Insight, John and Josh Rosenstern discuss an Alabama Supreme Court case that ruled on an in vitro fertilization case in a wrongful death civil suit, where a IVF clinic damaged a couple’s frozen embryos by accidentally dropping them. The court ruled the embryos are children and the couple will receive damages. Brother Josh points out that the state of Alabama has long held the stand that unborn children are children regardless of their location. This means all embryos are children, whether these embryos are inside or outside the mother’s womb, they are still life. Several Alabama IVF clinics have paused services, and a political firestorm is now burning because of the case.
