Today on Insight, Josh and John Rosenstern discuss the continued government shutdown, as the Senate has gone home for the weekend. Brother Josh is surprised there wasn’t enough pressure to reach an agreement before recessing for the weekend. Air travel is set to get worse, as the TSA and air traffic controllers are not being paid. Brother John says with the food stamps program being affected after November 1st, many families are already very frail and will not respond well. Explaining the “K shaped” economy, we see a gap between asset rich individuals, and those living paycheck to paycheck, with the eradication of the middle class. Currently, very few Americans are able to save for hard times, let alone be prepared for retirement.
