At salvation, we are baptized into Christ, buried with Him, and raised in newness of life. We must understand the truth of the Cross and the eternal life that it brings when we only believe. At the Cross is where Christ’s forgiveness, cleansing of sin, power to defeat all that Satan throws our way and so much more. All that we receive is reliant on our continued faith in the finished work of Christ. Jesus came and lived a perfect, righteous life; one that we couldn’t, for He is our substitute, and His death paid our debt to God we could not pay on our own.
