Paul was determined to establish continuity between the gospel of Jesus Christ and Israel. The importance and focus of God’s redemption plan of Christ and Him crucified comes through the lineage of the Jews first; but then, it is for the entirety of the Gentile world as well. God’s intent is for all to receive the gospel.
