IT’S TIME TO DEPART FROM INIQUITY- Tonight at Family Worship Center, Pastor Loren Larson reads 2nd Timothy 2:15-19 teaching on the believer’s freedom from sin, despite still living in the presence of sin. On the Cross of Calvary, Jesus paid the penalty for all sin, and He delivered us from the power of sin. Brother Larson says we must know He also died for us to be free from the presence of sin, which is ongoing in this world. This is how we move forward in our Christian life so we can depart from iniquity. There is no other way to keep the sin nature dormant. The time is now to stop letting Satan play with our lives, we can walk in the victory we have in Christ. We must put aside our former ways of life. Brother Larson says we need to protect our minds; for grace frees us from the elements of sin, the old manner of life must go. At salvation, we are sanctified; this is where we enter into His victory. We don’t progressively defeat sin, at Calvary; Christ broke the power of all sin. It’s not a partial freedom. We need to understand what He did for us. We are a new creation, innocent of all charges. The fact is, the world still pulls at us; but the truth is, we should glory in nothing, except in the Cross of Christ. The facts must meet the truth; in Christ, we have victory over iniquity.
