GETHSEMANE-THE PLACE WHERE THE OIL IS MADE— Today at Family Worship Center, Pastor Chris Moody, of the Cleveland Tennessee Church of God, preaches on the anointing from Matthew 26:36-52. He addresses Christ praying at Gethsemane just before going to the Cross. Brother Moody says this prayer is the oil press, where the oil is made. He says the oil represents the anointing, and we must have the anointing of God for it breaks the bondages of all God’s people. We may be lacking, sorrowful, or distressed but in that place we can find peace where the oil is made. Jesus prayed, if it be your will Lord, let this cup pass from me. Is that your prayer today? We must depend on God and pray; trusting that oil is being made in our circumstances, and there, we can find encouragement. When our weakness of flesh feels great, in Christ, we can know the Spirit of God within us exceeds the capacity of our flesh.
