THE CURSE- God established the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, through the lineage of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; ushering in the Son of God to the world. Today at Family Worship Center, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart reads Genesis 49:1-5 looking at how God will roll back the curse. Jacob delayed God’s promise by not going to Bethel as instructed, stopping in Succoth and Shechem. This was Satan trying to sully Christ’s lineage. This stop for God’s people resulted in defilement, mixed marriages, and murder within the church of that day. Despite the murderous, revengeful hearts of Levi and Simeon, the curses of these tribes were turned to blessings; the priesthood went to the tribe of Levi, and a partial inheritance went to the tribe of Simeon. Brother Swaggart warns that there is a curse on every unsaved person and on every believer outside of the will of God. But when we believe on Him, He shares His inheritance with us, turning what we deserved into a blessing.
