At the Cross, Jesus Christ took our sin and iniquity upon Himself; though He had no sin, He became a sacrifice for all sin, past, present, and future. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the intercessory prayer of Psalm 51:9. Here, David is praying repentance to the Lord for his sin, but also, this prayer is a prayer of the Lord on our behalf. The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin, and when we take it to the Lord, He forgives us and we are cleansed and healed. We are justified by our faith; when we repent, our iniquities are blotted out as though they never existed. Jesus' blood can make the vilest sinner clean.
