Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and the panel discuss the benefits of accepting Jesus Christ, and how so many Jews rejected Jesus during the time He walked this earth. They hated Him so much that they killed Him. Brother Swaggart says this is a perfect example of how evil religion can be. The Pharisees were jealous of Jesus’ ministry; it was a pride buried in hatred. The world was submitted to war and bloodshed because of this rejection of the Lord and His Word. Even Christ’s disciples, when He was about to ascend, asked if this is the time of His Kingdom to prevail. They did not recognize their greatest adversary, which was sin, and not Rome. Pastor Paris says the same holds true for believers today. We must have a revelation of Christ crucified and our need for a Savior. The Apostle Paul said, I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to all who believe; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Take heed that no man deceive you.
