A branch on its own cannot bring forth fruit. It must have a life source from a tree. Today on The Message of The Cross, Jimmy Swaggart and the panel discuss how Jesus is our life source. Every branch in the orchard of God needs the life source of Jesus Christ to bear fruit. Without His life source alone, a dead branch will result. Brother Smith reminds us that we are to abide in Christ just as we got saved. If we stay rooted in Christ, the Holy Spirit will go to work on our behalf to bring our condition up to our position in Christ, which means we will see fruit in our lives. This is what walking after the Spirit looks like. God will teach us His ways. Brother Larson reminds us, greater is He that is in us then He that is in the world.
