Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel welcomes Pastor JR Armstrong from Mauriceville All Gospel Church in Orange Texas. The panel continues to lay out God’s way to victory. Reading Ephesians 4:11-12, God’s plan provides a perfecting of the saints to spiritually mature the body of Christ. Brother Larson says we are to become something, in Christ, before we can declare something. When we accept Christ at salvation, we want to share it with the lost. Maturity can only come when the believer’s faith is anchored in the finished work of Christ; this is where the Holy Spirit then works on our behalf to bring fruit in our lives. This message of truth is an offense; the Cross, is an invitation to death, which brings controversy with many because we must die to self to live out this Christian life. We can work hard and fail, but when we accept Christ, and the invitation to die daily, we find life.
