Whenever we deal with a person who has failed, we should keep Job in mind. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the life of Job and the terrible test that came upon him. Job’s friends wrongly reacted with humiliation and condemnation towards Job. God allows tests and trials in a believer’s life. God does this for our benefit and growth in the things of God. At the time of Job’s circumstances, he did not have the work of Christ to look to, but He believed God. Today God addresses all failure at the Cross; there and only there, the Lord will restore. Without Christ we are nothing. Brother Smith reads, John 15:5, saying without Christ we can do nothing; but in Christ, despite our stumbling we are a child of God who can do all things.
