The flesh is not God’s way, the Holy Spirit is. We must anchor our faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work at Calvary’s Cross. Christ atoned for all sin on the Cross so that we can have victory in this life. Christ’s finished work gives the Holy Spirit the leeway to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. If we try to do the work ourselves, Christ will be of no profit to us. As believers, it is God’s will for the Holy Spirit to transform us into the image of Christ.
