FORGOTTEN DISCIPLINES-RECLAIMING BIBLICAL STEWARDSHIP- Giving shifts our focus from self to God. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart reads Matthew 6:19-24 teaching on proper stewardship in the church. Pastor Gabe lays out the four kinds of givers. There are non-givers, occasional givers, tithers, and extravagant givers. Unfortunately, the majority of Christianity falls into the category of non-givers. Research shows that only five-percent of churchgoers tithe regularly, with 50-percent of those only giving two-percent of their income. Tithe means ten-percent. Through this series, Pastor Gabe wants us to learn what a blessing it is to give to the work of God. We must be good stewards of what God has given us, for giving invests in eternal things.
