Tonight at Family Worship Center, Pastor Donnie Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professors Dave Watts and Jimmy DuPree reading Colossians 1:18. As they teach on the true church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Brother Donnie explains the purpose of church attendance is for the Holy Spirit to come and be among us. While correct doctrine is taught from God’s Word, it is very important that the Holy Spirit is present and is recognized. The church was born on the Day of Pentecost. God intended for the church then, and the church today, to be endued with the power of the Holy Spirit. We need to get back to the power of Pentecost flooding our services, as His children must desire His presence above all else.
