Christ is the head of the church, and we are the body; therefore, all spiritual life flows from Him. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Pastor Donnie Swaggart and panel read Colossians 2:19-23 teaching on how believers must beware of false doctrine. In the early church, Gnostics were leading many new converts away with various teachings of asceticism and legalism. In the perfect plan of God, God never willed for denominations to develop. God wanted unity that flowed from the throne room of heaven down to the fivefold ministry. Unfortunately, with every new move of God, people made their own truth and new denominations were birthed. Every way, formed by the will of man, will lead to destruction; only God’s truth is the way that leads to life.
